Two month check up

We had a really good trip to the doctor with Giggles today! Mark and I both were much more happy with the new doctor, staff, and office in general. They answered a bunch of our questions in the very first packet of info on two month old babies (imagine that...information up front).
Giggles is growing just like he should be. He was totally flirting with the nurse...smiling and cooing the whole time.
He weighs 12 lbs 10 oz (50-75%) and is 23.75 in (75%)...so he really has grown a LOT!!!
We asked about his food consumption and it is normal so he is just a fast growing little guy!!
The hard part of the day was getting 3 shots. He laughed through the first one, whimpered on the second, and full on screamed for the third :-( Apparently that is when he realized it hurt...but as soon as I picked him up again he was fine.
He is now sleeping and has a little fever but we hope it doesn't get too bad.
A couple other cool things...the nurse gave us about $20 worth of free formula!! And some church friends brought us a really yummy dinner just to help out today!!! Wonderful unexpected blessings :-)

Personality Pictures

Giggles is really starting to get a cute personality. He loves to sit and laugh at anything...including the walls (we are still trying to figure that one out!).

 His two month check up is Thursday and I am looking forward to hearing how the doctor thinks he is progressing. There will be a post about that visit later this week.

First Easter

Giggles had a very busy first Easter last week! We went to church at Northland on Saturday night, church at CKC Sunday morning, and spent the afternoon with Grandpa Bruce, Grandma Carol, and Great Grandma Rita.

He got to wear his first Easter outfit a lot:



Grandpa Bruce bought him his first Easter basket! They made a deal about the contents...Giggles got the bunny and Grandpa got the candy. Sounds like a deal Grandpa would come up with ;)

We realized we needed some updated family pictures and Easter seemed like the perfect time to do it. Actually, it was the week before but we were in our Easter clothes and pretending :)

Sleep Baby!!

Last night marked a whole week of Giggles skipping his 12:30 am bottle! We are now down to just getting up once in the night (around 3:30 am) and enjoying less interupted sleep.

Smiles and giggles

Over the weekend Giggles started to smile and giggle responsively!!! We have had tons of fun watching him smile. He loves to have his belly patted and giggles like crazy. He smiles when he sees his sucker...which makes sucking a little difficult!
We have been home for a month today and it is amazing to look at all the changes in him (and our lives!).
